Norma Hart was born & bred in Rochdale, Lancashire.
Leaving school at 15 she became a hairdresser but gave
that up to take a degree in politics at the University
of Hull. She graduated in 1991 and went on to do a
post-grad qualification and become a university teacher.
Norma gave that up in 2000 to work for herself writing
teaching materials.
She used to scribble funny poems years ago for fun but
got busy and neglected it. However, she’s recently taken
it up again and enjoys writing Lancashire dialect poems
for people who tell her funny stories about themselves
or others.
