Born in London in 1946, Dave Axton had an exciting business
career, rising to the giddy heights of teaboy at a merchant
bank until it was taken over by a French company which only
drank wine. So at the age of 51 Dave was forced into early
retirement and started hating the French (he's a slow learner).
Having dabbled with the written word in his youth (mainly
copying dirty stories and selling them to schoolmates at
sixpence a time) he decided to try his hand again - after
all he couldn't play golf every day. In 2000 he started
his own website and over the next 38 months added over 100
titles but then discovered the quantity to quality ratio
and took some off again. He also has an "Issues in
Verse" section on a local community website but has
forgotten his password.
Well-known for his unwitting 'Victor Meldrew' impressions
Dave lives in Hertford, Hertfordshire with his wife Sue,
two cats, twenty-five fish and his computer.
