Ben Mousley was born in Reading in 1975, raised in Essex,
honed in Stratford-upon-Avon and then let loose on Swansea.
He’s not particularly comfortable with talking about
himself in the third person, but looking at other profiles
of this kind, thought it was appropriate.
Currently working
as a research assistant at Swansea University his interest
in comic poetry is inherited from his hero, the late and sorely
missed genius, Arthur Henry Dewell, his grandfather.
Many of Ben’s
poems are based on stories told to the then sixteen year old
by Arthur over a few pints on their frequent tours of the
pubs around Nuneaton, when to this day Arthur’s wife
believes them to have been rambling down by the brook in the
Attleborough woods.
So
cheers Arth, here’s to you mate.
