Norman and the Tempest

David M. Rossie

There was an old sailor named Norm
Who was caught in a terrible storm
A frothing torrent
Down upon him was sent
Lashing his poor naked form.

Norm bravely faced into the bane
Driven mad by the hot driving rain
And wrestled the roar
And the furious pour
Til exhausted he gave up in vain.

He'd battled for nearly an hour
Refusing to cave in or cower
But he knew things were bleak
When he heard his wife shriek
"Norman get out of that shower"
