Howling
Blog is brand new. Take a look and let me know what you
think!
7th May
2006
The
Howling Dog updates seem to be few and far between theses
days. However,
they're still coming and that's the important thing. Quality
beats quantity every time!
Brand
new is some material from a guy called
Rob McFarlane.
Found a dollop of his scribblings in my inbox one day and
decided to give them a wazz.
They've been a long time reaching the Howling Dog pages (sorry Rob!),
but I'm sure they'll now raise a smile with quite a few folk out
there.
Look out for a longer offering from Rob in the
not-too-distant future.
The
Fred Dibnah
Memorial Evenings are going very well.
Four so far and each has been well received with some very
favourable press coverage.
We're at the Thornton Little Theatre on the Fylde on
Saturday 3rd June for
what
promises to be a very enjoyable 'do'. An excellent venue
too!
Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) and can be reserved by
'phoning
01253
770547.
Go on, you know you want to!
Pick
of the Month is back (for now, anyway) and there's a few
goodies
lined up for the Summer. However, if you'd like to submit
something for possible
inclusion, drop me an e-mail and Bob could well be your
uncle!
As always, there's no prize, just the satisfaction of having
a scribbling appear on the prestigious Howling Dog Website.
This
month it's one of my offerings.
It's
called He's a Cat - Fancy That! and
it perhaps won't appeal to
the cat
lovers out there. One or two gardeners might like it though
and strictly speaking
the cat does win in the end. Well, sort of.
Could this part of the site turn into a Blog I wonder? A Howling Blog?
Who knows? Watch this space!

Been
very busy writing stuff for that last few months, so not
much time to update
Howling Dog. However, there's a very exciting little project
lined up for 2006.
It
involves Sheila Dibnah and Donkey Stone and it's set to
raise some money
for the Fred Dibnah Memorial Fund. Click
here for details.

It's
been a long summer and I've been very busy
with a couple of writing projects as well as finishing off
the new CD, so this is the first update in quite a while.
I'll try to keep up from now on - promise!
Dont miss this one, it's from Stan Brown, with twiddly bits
by his mate Gary Hogg and it's a
stonker.....

It's
been quite a few months since my last update. Lots of
reasons for
this, the main one being a hard drive crash just before
Christmas which
almost made me give up the Howling Dog website for good.
However, things are almost back to normal now and some new
poems
and
Lancashire stuff are planned. Watch
this space!
I've
kicked things off with a link to Paul Gunningham's website dedicated
to Lancashire folkies
The Fivepenny
Piece and a very funny poem
from Australia submitted by Alan
