The Hyndburn Clog

Created by the Hyndburn Ramblers Association, the Hyndburn Clog is a thirty-three mile circular walk set in the heart of Lancashire's beautiful Hill Country. It passes through varied landscapes, from moorland to lowland and throughout its length provides spectacular views.

Fortunately, for those who prefer not to tackle the whole Clog in one go, the route has been spilt into seven stages which can be enjoyed as a series of walks.

Stage 1 - Stanhill to Belthorn - 2.5 miles
Stage 2 - Belthorn to Causeway End - 5.5 miles
Stage 3 - Causeway End to Acre/Winfields - 4.5 miles
Stage 4 - Acre/Winfields to Childers Green - 5.5 miles
Stage 5 - Childers Green to Cock Bridge - 5.5 miles
Stage 6 - Cock Bridge to Parsonage Reservoir - 5 miles
Stage 7 - Parsonage Reservoir to Stanhill - 4.5 miles

The clog is very well waymarked with round silver discs showing the outline of a pair of blue clogs and all routes follow established footpaths.
