The Golden Lion

The Golden Lion public house on Moor Lane, Lancaster was traditionally used as the place where condemned prisoners being held at Lancaster Castle were allowed their last drink before execution.

The Pendle Witches took their last drink here on 20th August 1612 before being executed at the top of the hill at Golgotha.

The Golden Lion

An interesting and historic pub that's well worth a visit. Sorry, I've no idea what the beer's like though, so don't blame me if it's from the fizz factory!
