Foster's
Leap
High
above Wycoller, just off the Haworth road is a spot known
as Foster's Leap which comprises two large boulders seperated
by a gap of over two metres.
Legend
has it that local barmpot Foster Cunliffe, a relative
of the Cunliffes of Wycoller Hall, safely jumped the gap
between the boulders. Perhaps the brave Mr Cunliffe had
partaken of a few tankards of ale to boost his courage
for the leap, or then again maybe it's just a story!
