Donkey Stone Banner

Any fool can play tragedy, but comedy, sir, is a damned serious business.
David Garrick 1717 - 1779

Who? ~ Donkey Stone is a brand new pairing of two highly regarded Lancashire talents: Alan St John, singer, guitarist, song writer and all round nice guy has teamed up with monologue writer and performer Steve Morris in order to offer unique entertainment with a very definite northern flavour.

What? ~ Well, there's songs of course. Alan covers everything from self-penned material to Jake Thackery numbers and good old-fashioned, rollicking crowd pleasers. He's also a bit of a whizz on guitar and has been known to tell the odd joke or two. Try stopping him!

Steve, however, performs monologues. The Lion and Albert? Not quite! Steve's scribblings are original, they're very often a bit naughty, they're superbly delivered and they're always downright bl**dy hilarious. And as a keen observer of life , Steve throws in a few stories as well. He swears every one is true but you be the judge! The following links will bring you more information about Steve's books and CDs.

A Sportin' Life Why I Left the Scouts Rhythms & Rhymes

And, of course, between songs and stories there's lots more of daft northern stuff to ensure audiences are sent away chuckling.

Where? ~ We're happy to consider just about anything you have in mind. Fund raisers, Lancashire Nights, charity events or even a bit of corporate whatsname. We can cope with 'em all and we're more than happy to discuss your requirements and advise wherever necessary.

How Much? ~ We're not cheap (Lancashire quality never is), but we are very inexpensive. Why not give one of us a call? You'll probably be pleasantly surprised! We can even provide posters and tickets and if yours is a charity event we'll gladly negotiate a fee.
